Perhaps I am missing something, but so many games feel more like tech demos and less like games. Devs of the past, it feels like, took more chances and told more varied stories and had lots of more interesting game mechanics. It feels like a rule of cool design philosophy that is a fundamental difference between not even western and eastern devs but current devs vs devs of the 80s and 90s. I am still looking forward to a LOT of upcoming games for it. The fact that Genshin Impact, a literal mobile game that is among the biggest in the world, is not on Switch yet - allegedly because miHoYo is having trouble getting it to run properly - is a sign that the Switch is just not solid enough to run current-gen games.
